Roussillon Ridge Necklace
One of the most radiant places in southern France is, most notably, the city of Roussillon. Known for its ochre mine, the place where pigments of oranges, reds, yellows and deep browns are found, then harvested to transform into paints, this area is stimulating to the eye.
The city buildings are bright and full of warm colors that have been blended not just into paint, but also into each of its facades. In contrast, the doors and windows are painted bold colors of blues, greens and purples. There is no denying this city from afar. The colors of the facades and the warm glow make it truly recognizable.
This necklace captures the side of the ridge with perfect harmony contrasting the rough cliffs of ochre, with the softness of organic forms of flowers. All of these details are framed in a perfectly-imperfect, easy-to-wear pendant, that serves as glimpse into the scenery like a picture window.
