“This challenge was unlike any other. My client came to me with an idea to make a piece reminiscent of a Trillium flower…a flower significant to him and his sweetie. These flowers are known for being prevalent in the North Carolina mountains. After spending some time researching and learning more about this beautiful piece of nature, I decided to create this ring in sterling silver, stacked with 18K rose gold and accented with 3 diamonds. Not only did she love it, but we were able to pull it off without spoiling the surprise!” -Kristen
Kristen is known for her organic, fluid-like designs, but this was the first floral challenge she has done. She decided to make the Trillium flower piece two-toned in sterling silver and 18K rose gold, to coordinate with the jewelry her client wears.
While we tried about 5 variations of colored gemstones at the center of the flower, it was a unanimous decision that diamonds were in fact a girl's best friend. Emphasized by our Ripple-signature flowing band and 3 sterling silver "sepals", the rose gold "petals" pop forward, as the whole piece came together like a flower in full bloom.
We were so thrilled to hear that the ring was such a HUGE hit, that Kristen decided to add additional floral designs to her collection. She’s hooked!
