Thanks for stopping by. It's now the middle of October and it's still holding at a steady 88 degrees here, in lovely Savannah, GA. I'm wishing for some cooler temperatures because...(drumroll, please!)
a) It's way too hot for fall (duh!)
b) We are hot, hot, hot, here in the studio! There is SO much going on and we just can't help but be excited!
To start, I just received a batch of videos from a video shoot a few weeks ago. The lovely folks at Clark Creative have been working their tails off helping us get AMAZING content from the studio and content previewing the new collections I've been working on. Here's a little sneak peek of one short behind-the-scenes video...
So a little about the process you just saw...
Because each piece we make is handcrafted, meaning we do things by hand with tools and big machinery, there's a lot of grit and grime that occurs before the real shine comes out. Undoubtedly, a single ring will be cleaned between 10-15 times before it heads out the door. It's pretty intense! I use a combination of a pin polisher (the first machine shown) and an ultrasonic (the second machine shown) to get my pieces ready for their debut in "the real world".
From the studio, we do these things so many times...over and over...so we forget how cool it is to be able to work with machines and do really technical processes. People kept telling me they wanted to see more.
So let's just say this, you folks spoke and we listened!
You're the reason why we started on this video making journey and we couldn't be more excited to share the studio with you!
