If you know me or anything about me, you know I LOVE New York City. Everything about it, the hustle and bustle, the lights, the amazing food, and even the subway (yes, I'm a tourist so I think it's cool!) just makes me come to life. Last year I went to a jewelry conference called Flourish and Thrive Live hosted by Flourish and Thrive Academy (FTA) and was introduced to a whole community of jewelry designer boss ladies.
The FTA community operates under the motto of "community over competition" which is hard to find these days in the cut-throat design/art world.
So this year, going into September I could not wait to go again and finally meet my mastermind ladies plus attend the conference with a whole new perspective on my business and an additional year of experience under my belt. (In January, I joined the FTA Mastermind, a group of 20 jewelry biz owners ready to take their businesses to the next level and this was the first time we were going to meet in person.)

Well, let me say, this year's event did not disappoint! My 5 days in the city were packed and flew by so quickly. We started with a store tour with our coach and mentor Robin. We saw so many cool places and hello, Bergdorf Goodman (secret) Vault....shhhhh. Then we had a day of Mastermind intensive followed by 2 days of conference, a WJA night out event, a Halstead Grant finalist dinner, 2 evenings of networking and cocktails, and a quick breakfast at Chelsea Market. I even got to get up on stage to do a "supershare" about how I took my website to the next level in a matter of weeks. So fun!
Website Supershare! So many taleted and hard working ladies right here!
I had 3 Mastermind roomies so we had a blast even after our evening events were over. Hello, midnight collection reviews. It was like I was back in college but way less stressful. Corresponding with my mastermind ladies for over 9 months was great but meeting them each in person....wow, that made all the difference!
It's amazing what a personal connection can do and I'm so darn grateful for each of these phenomenal ladies. #Ifoundmytribe
I left NYC feeling SOOOOO inspired and ready to make changes, implement new strategies and get a lot of things done! I also left with a new #tribe that I am so incredibly thankful for.
Sometimes being a business owner is really hard, but most of the time, it's the best thing ever! On to the next thing we go...
Thanks for stopping by!
